All use of this website (“Site”) is subject to the following terms and conditions of use. By using and/or viewing the Site, you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree to these conditions and our privacy statement cease use of the Site immediately.

The Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Statement (which is contained in this agreement) constitutes the entire agreement, and supersedes any other agreements or understanding, between you (the customer) and us with respect to their subject matters. You may print and keep one copy of these terms for personal use only

We reserve the right to change the Terms at our discretion.

If any provision of the whole of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason by any competent independent authority or a court of law then the remaining terms shall continue to stand with full effect.

Information given on the Site

Any information on the site relating to the hotels advertised, including details for Seal Ratings, is given to us by the hotels themselves and although we do our best to ensure that this information is correct we cannot guarantee its accuracy. Because of the large amount of information on the site there will inevitably be some errors in the information given therefore we cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage caused by inaccurate information. We also accept no liability (to the fullest extent that UK law allows) and do not offer warranties in relation to the information detailed on the Site.

Any customer reviews expressed in our hotel/destination/child friendliness review section by users of the Site are not necessarily the views of Hotels4Families or anyone connected with it. Hotels4Families reserves the right to moderate the postings in these areas.

Intellectual property

The ownership of the content placed on the Site shall at all times belong to Hotels4Families.

You may only download information from the site for your own personal use only. Our explicit permission and that of the copyright owner must be granted for copying, redistribution, retransmission, publication or commercial exploitation except the cases permitted under copyright law. In the event that permission has been granted no changes can be made in respect of our trademarks and copyrights, and no ownership can be claimed by the party who has been granted permission.

All trademarks, service marks and trade names used on Site (including but not limited to the Hotels4families logo, the Seal mark rating system and the Slipper the Seal character) are trademarks or registered trademarks of Hotels4families.com (Patent Pending). They may not be used without Hotels4families's prior written permission.

Whilst we provide hyperlinks to leave our Site we take no responsibility for, and give no guarantees, warranties, or representations in respect of these sites.

Contractual Relationship

Hotels4Families act as a conduit between customers and hotels and as such our relationship with the customer is that of a conduit. Your contract for the service advertised on the Site that you wish to purchase will be with the applicable service provider (e.g. the applicable hotel) and not with Hotels4Families. We do not accept any liability for the quality or type of services or goods provided by the third party suppliers, these can be the suppliers focused on in our Site or the suppliers whom are linked to our Site. In the case of your contract with these 3 rd parties it is likely that there are additional terms and conditions governing the contract as each supplier and or hotel will have its own terms.

All queries with the booking process should be directed at us, however any questions or issues you have with the services you book using our Site should be directed to the hotel/service provider with which you have entered into a contract. Their contact details will appear on the e-mail confirmation of the contract we send you.

The information we have given does not represent advice given to you and should not in any way be construed as such. It therefore should not be relied upon by you in making (or not making, as the case may be) any decisions.

Bookings

In this section we refer to Hotels4families/LateRooms as our booking system is run through www.Laterooms.com.

Bookings may be made by: - (a) Clicking on the "Book by Telephone" button, dialling the Hotels4Families/LateRooms telephone number and quoting the applicable reference number listed on the Site; or (b) Clicking on the "Book Online" button and following the simple booking procedure.

To make a booking you will be asked to submit personal informationabout yourself such as your name, email address, telephone number and credit card details. Whenever you provide such Personal Information, Hotels4Families/LateRooms will collate and use such Personal Information in accordance with Hotels4Families/LateRooms "Privacy Policy", details of which are set out at the end of these terms of use. Please read this in full before providing any Personal Information to Hotels4Families/LateRooms.

Hotels4Families/LateRooms will confirm your booking and issue you with an email confirmation.

Hotels4Families/LateRooms will not deduct any money from your credit card. The hotel or other service provider with which you enter into a contract will take payment.

If you cancel your booking, there may be a cancellation charge. In any event, if you cancel within the hotel's cancellation period, you will be charged a Cancellation Fee. Further details of our cancellation policy are set out in our email to you confirming your booking.

In the event that you call Hotels4Families/LateRooms by telephone, or are called by Hotels4Families/LateRooms regarding your booking, calls may be recorded for monitoring and training purposes. In the event of a dispute regarding a booking, Hotels4Families/LateRooms reserves the right to review any call information.

Barring and Termination of accounts

Hotels4Families/LateRooms reserve the right to terminate your access to the site and bar you from using the site in the future at any time for any reason and for any length of time. Users who have been barred should not attempt to use the Site under any other name or through any other user.

Our Liability towards you

By accepting these terms and conditions of use you are acknowledging our Site as a booking conduit for hotels and services advertised on the Site. Therefore you are agreeing that your contract will be with the hotel or other service provider from which you book a room or purchase services and that Hotels4Families/LateRooms shall not in any way be responsible to you for the provision of a room or any other service following your reservation.

You expressly agree that:

Your use of the Site is at your sole risk. The Site and the content available on it (whether relating to hotels, or other information posted by Hotels4Families or third parties) is provided free of charge and on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Hotels4Families expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but without limitation, any implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. As previously stated we act on an agency model and your contract will be with the supplier of the room or other service, and accordingly we shall have no liability to you in respect of any the services supplied or your use of the website and/or its content, and such liability shall be excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law, however nothing in these terms of use shall operate to exclude or limit the liability of Hotels4Families for fraudulent misrepresentation or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Hotels4Families makes no warranty that:

1. The content placed on the Site will meet your requirements;

2. Access to the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free;

3. Information on the Site will be accurate or reliable;

4. The server that makes the Site available is free from viruses

Any material downloaded or otherwise obtained through your use of the Site is done at your own discretion and risk and you will be solely responsible for any damage to your computer system or loss of data that results from the download of any such material.

Hotels4Families shall not be liable to you for any special, indirect or consequential loss or damage including, but without limitation, loss of profit, loss of anticipated profit, loss of business, economic loss, overhead recovery, anticipated savings, loss of data, depletion of goodwill or otherwise or any costs, expenses or other claims for consequential compensation whatsoever (howsoever caused) which arises out of or in connection with your use of the Site or any contracts you make with hotels or other service providers advertising on the Site.

Legal jurisdiction and governing law

These Terms are to be governed over by English law, you agree by agreeing to these terms that the Courts of England shall have the jurisdiction (and are the only courts to have jurisdiction) to settle any disputes regarding these Terms.

Seal Ratings

Seal ratings are based on our opinion of hotel packages for families; they are based on our own set of criterion that was decided after extensive market research. The criterion is designed so that you can compare hotels on their quality, comfort, service and child friendly facilities with consistency across different areas and countries. They have no relationship with any other ratings the hotel may have undertaken. We may withdraw or change the seals without prior notice of the management.

The criteria for the Seal ratings:

Bedrooms for parents and children to share (Maximum age restrictions for children may apply, please refer to web site or check with hotel).

Good standard of cleanliness.

The two seal criteria plus:

Squash (low in E numbers) option on tea/coffee hospitality tray

Failure to meet our service, facilities and quality standards will mean that the Site will withdraw the Hotels right to use our services and logo’s. They will also be unable to use our name in any format for advertising and promoting their hotel. However we (‘The Site’) cannot be held liable for a hotel failing to meet the seal criteria stated on our website. We will take any responses that you, the customer, offer that a hotel has failed to meet their stated Seal level very seriously.

We have the right to withdraw the seal for the hotel, and rights to use our services and logo’s, without prior notice.

Privacy Policy

1. This statement describes the policy and practices of Hotels4families, and our booking agent Laterooms.com, with regard to processing of Personal Information on the Site. Where Hotels4families is read in the Privacy Policy also read as Laterooms.com. Hotels4families' and their agent’s principal activities involve advertising the availability of hotel rooms to families, details of said hotels are placed on the Site by hotel owners.

2. "Personal Information" means information that relates to a living individual who can be identified from that information or from that information together with other information which is held by or is likely to be held by Hotels4families/LateRooms.

3. It is the policy of Hotels4families/LateRooms to take all necessary steps to ensure that Personal Information held by Hotels4families/LateRooms is processed fairly and lawfully. Hotels4families/LateRooms will take all necessary steps to implement this policy. All employees of Hotels4families/LateRooms and data processors who have access to Personal Information are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your Personal Information.

4. It is the policy of Hotels4families/LateRooms to ensure that all relevant statutory requirements are complied with, including the eight Data Protection Principles contained in the Data Protection Act 1998 ("the Act"), and to monitor the internal procedures of Hotels4families/LateRooms periodically to ensure compliance.

5. You can access the Site home page and browse the Site without disclosing Personal Information.

6. In order to provide some of the services offered by the Site, Hotels4families/LateRooms need to hold certain Personal Information including your name, telephone number, email address and credit card details. Except to the extent that Hotels4families/LateRooms is required or permitted by law, any Personal Information which Hotels4families/LateRooms collect will be used for the purpose of taking and verifying bookings in relation to the services offered on the Site and Hotels4families/LateRooms will not hold it for any longer than is necessary for this purpose.

7. Hotels4families/LateRooms may collect Personal Information that you volunteer while using the Site. This information may be used by Hotels4families/LateRooms to notify you about important changes to the Site, new services and other information Hotels4families/LateRooms think you may find interesting. Where Hotels4families/LateRooms collect such information, Hotels4families/LateRooms make clear the nature of the information and the purposes for which it is used and Hotels4families/LateRooms will offer you the choice to opt-out of providing such information

8. Hotels4families/LateRooms do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children. If you are a child and would like to use the Site then please ask your parent/guardian for assistance.

When you view the Site, Hotels4families/LateRooms may store some information on your computer. This will be in the form of a "cookie" file, which will enable Hotels4families/LateRooms to tailor the Site to match your interests and preferences. The "cookie" file is used to store the IP address of your machine and will not contain any data personal to you. Your internet browser may allow you to erase the "cookie" file, block all "cookies" or receive a warning before a "cookie" is stored. Please refer to your browser instructions. The "cookie" file will be deleted 30 days after the date on which you last access the Site.

Turning off cookies

Internet Explorer 6.0 and 7.0

1. From your browser menu select Tools, and then Internet Options. This will bring up the Internet Options dialogue box.
2. On the top of the dialogue box, select the Privacy tab.
3. On the Privacy tab, move the slider up for a higher level of privacy or down for a lower level of privacy.
4. Move the slider to the top to block cookies from all websites.

You can reconfigure your computer to accept cookies again by returning to the Privacy tab and selecting the Default button, followed by the OK button.

You can reconfigure your computer to accept cookies again in Firefox by returning to Cookies and selecting Accept cookies from sites and then clicking OK.

• Cookies are only used to enhance your visit to our Site, they help personalise your online experience and improve usability. You can choose to browse with disabled cookies by changing your internet options on your own computer.

10. Personal Information may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area in order to facilitate the booking of hotel rooms and/or purchase of other services which may not have data protection laws as comprehensive as those that exist in the EEA. In using the Site you consent to such a transfer.

11. Hotels4families/LateRooms may disclose Personal Information about Site visitors to other organisations that are hotel partners or affiliates or to organisations contracted by Hotels4families/LateRooms to manage aspects of the Site. In particular, Hotels4families/LateRooms will send Personal Information to Hotels4families/LateRooms' hotel partners to enable them to process your booking.

12. Hotels4families/LateRooms will monitor on an ongoing basis compliance with the provisions of the Act by third party processors of Personal Information held by Hotels4families/LateRooms.

13. Hotels4families/LateRooms may from time to time use your Personal Information to send you information by email about Hotels4families/LateRooms, www.Hotels4families/Laterooms.com and other information that you may find useful. If you do not wish to receive this information please contact Hotels4families/LateRooms by email at admin@Hotels4.biz taking care to state the exact email address from which you have previously booked.

14. The Site contains links to other internet sites that are not owned by Hotels4families/LateRooms. Hotels4families/LateRooms is not responsible for the content of such sites or for the privacy policies of such sites or for Personal Information that such sites may collect or place on your computer.

15. You can find out what Personal Information Hotels4families/LateRooms holds about you by writing to Hotels4families/LateRooms at admin@hotels4.biz. Your request must be accompanied by a cheque for £10.00. Hotels4families/LateRooms will acknowledge your request within 10 working days. Should Hotels4families/LateRooms be prevented from disclosing your Personal Information, Hotels4families/LateRooms will give reasons for any such refusal.

16. If any of the Personal Information that Hotels4families/LateRooms hold about you is incorrect or needs updating, or if you want Hotels4families/LateRooms to delete any Personal Information, please contact Hotels4families/LateRooms at admin@hotels4.biz. Hotels4families/LateRooms may request that you provide further information and identification to enable Hotels4families/LateRooms to comply with this request.

17. Hotels4families/LateRooms regard the databases of Site visitors' information (which may include your Personal Information) as a valuable asset. Should Hotels4families/LateRooms sell or transfer any of Hotels4families/LateRooms’ business assets this may include the sale or transfer of such databases of information to third parties. Such a transfer or sale may mean that your Personal Information is transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area. In using the Site and accepting these terms of use you consent to such use of your Personal Information.
